Levels Explained
"Levels" refers specifically to
levels of effort. The higher the level of effort, obviously,
the higher the site design cost. We don't assign a certain
cost to each level, but rather use a cost range. This is because
we charge using an hourly rate. We'll never assign price values
"per page" or "per link" because each
site's format is entirely different. What remains universal
across the board, however, is the amount of time and effort
required for a certain level of complexity. The more complex
your site, the higher the level range your site would be assigned
to.
Define complexity, you ask? Sure! The two
major things to consider are complexity of information and
complexity of the look and feel. Information refers to your
site's content: how much and what kind. The volume of content
and the way it's divided into separate sections influences
level. The Look and feel refers not only to graphic elements
in the site, but to formatting, frames, dynamic mouseovers,
and other interface elements. We use "complexity"
to describe these levels rather than "quality" because
we strive to meet high standards with even our most basic
site designs.
